James Halsall Clague

James was born in Douglas, Isle of man, on 12th May 1886. He married Edith Pickles at St Saviours Church, Chorlton-on-Medlock on 1st November 1917. Just over four months after their wedding, Edith received the news that her husband, James, serving in the 19th Kings Liverpool Regiment had been killed in action. Fortunately she did not meet anybody else as, two years later, he turned up at their home on Romford Street, Chorlton-on-Medlock.

In 1922, they had their only child, Mona. Sadly, James died in Bagueley Sanitorium in 1932 with a severe lung disease.
